Jeff Fraembs Named Maverick's 2009 Driver of the Year

Maverick Transportation announced Jeff Fraembs of Steelville, IL, as their 2009 Driver of the Year on Friday, February 5, 2010 at their annual Driver of the Year awards presentation.

“I’m completely speechless,” Fraembs stated with visible emotion. “I wasn’t expecting this and all I can say is thank you.”

Fraembs, a professional driver for twenty years, has been with Maverick for over seven of those. Fraembs has proven himself a leader in the company’s fleet. He is a driver instructor, a Maroon Marauder award recipient, has 4 safety awards, and maintains a very high MPG average. “Jeff is an outstanding person, as well as an outstanding driver,” said Fleet Manager Lea Anne Lindsey. “He is a very hard worker with a great attitude and willingness to help out anyone, whenever needed. He definitely deserves this recognition as Driver of the Year.”

As Maverick’s October Driver of the Month for 2009, Fraembs was recognized for his combination of safe driving, positive attitude and willingness to go above what is asked.

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company's fleet who takes pride in his or her profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do. All office and driver employees then vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month to select the Driver of the Year. As Driver of the Year, Fraembs will receive an extra week of vacation time, a $2,500 bonus check, and a custom-made leather jacket.
