Maverick Transportation announced driver Jody Richardson of Mart, TX, as their Driver of the Month for December 2009. Richardson has been a Maverick driver for almost 2 years and has been a professional truck driver for 10 years.

“Jody is on the top drivers in MPG for the entire company,” said Fleet Manager Bo Grady. “His record speaks for itself with on-time deliveries and Maverick standards in general.”

The last recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2009, Richardson has proven himself a leader in the company’s fleet. He has a safety award and maintains a very high MPG average.

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company’s fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do. Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2009. As Driver of the Month, Richardson will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
