Maverick Transportation announced driver John Wolek of Westville, IN, as their Driver of the Month for November 2009. Wolek has been a Maverick driver for over 2 years and has been a professional truck driver for over 30 years.
“John is a great driver that represents Maverick well,” said Fleet Manager Darin Smalley. “He is always willing to help other drivers and maintains a very high MPG.”
The eleventh recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2009, Wolek has proven himself a leader in the company’s fleet. He has a safety award and maintains one of the highest MPS averages in his fleet.
He cites the home time, pay, and Maverick’s attitude towards drivers as what he enjoys most about driving for Maverick.
Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company’s fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do. Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2009. As Driver of the Month, Wolek will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
